Jassim Taqi: Security Council sanctions against Haqqani network will force Pakistan to act against the network too

Jassim Taqi-Head of Al Bab institute for strategic studies (Phono-Pakistan).

     We know that Haqqani Network has relations with some Arabic and GCC countries, the network raise money from these countries.

     The network raises money from the Pakistanis in the West especially in UK, but the network uses secret accounts.

     We know that US was hesitant in imposing the sanctions on the network and entered in negotiations with the network to convince them to stop support AQ but in last September US included the network in its list of terrorist organizations.

     This is a very important move which will create a crisis for the network and will force Pakistan to take procedures against the network.
